Everyone has felt upset and an urge to right what we perceive as a wrong. But the lesson for growth contained within these events can free us from the pain of being upset, which is the only result of being upset.
If you will simply hold the thoughts of retaliation, the subsequent feelings, and the potential consequences in your mind, carefully inspecting them, you will find that they will begin to change.
Wise counsel, and we agree wholeheartedly with all you write except for the word “simply.” To be able to refrain from those instinctive feelings of anger and thoughts of retaliation is one of our highest aspirations, one we have been working toward for many years as Lemurian students. We can claim some hard-earned progress, but we have found the process anything but simple!
If you can avoid retaliating you have the foundation of a strong character Lemurians aspire to. Getting upset is only human and shows you care about what other people think of you. But struggling with this indicates you know you can reach a better point where you can more deeply understand why others say or do what they do, but you don’t have to let this affect you negatively. This is the kind of work on ourselves we do as Lemurians, so we can appreciate what you’re going through.
This was a valuable lesson we received from the Beloved Christ. My hope is that we can all learn this stepping stone to peace and harmony on earth, and be worthy of his loving help and guidance.

I am fine not retaliating but I still struggle with getting upset. I am a work in slow progress and I am grateful to be called.

A very inspiring phrase – and so appropriate to this Easter weekend.
