Christ was trying to help all of us live this life to store up treasures in heaven; to do for others as we would have them do for us; to love God with all our hearts and minds, and our fellow beings as we love ourselves; to have faith and works; to know that the peacemakers, the meek, the pure of heart and those who hunger and thirst after righteousness are blessed; all these are parts of the path to changing our thoughts that we might take control of our lives: make them what we wish them to be.
