I find that flexing my tolerance, in little ways, say, by not allowing myself to react, even internally, negatively, to an opinion or a new-to-me idea, makes it easier to stay calm when faced with a big contradiction, something that challenges my peace. In these days of extreme opinions and contradictory “facts,” just keeping calm feels like true accomplishment!
