“ . . . and to show us how to save ourselves” resonates with me, perhaps because I want to add “from ourselves.” The more I examine my life, the more I realize I am the obstacle to my advancement. Realizing I am this roadblock, Elizabeth Gilbert’s admonition: “Do you have the courage to bring forth the treasures that are hidden within you?” compels me to look inward, come to grips with my insecurities, follow the treasure map laid out by the Philosophy, and find my pearl of great price. And there is no better time for discovering this treasure than this the season of His birth, surrounded by the love that necessitated His presence amongst us.
I now have a reasonable faith in the possibility of fulfilling my purpose for this incarnation, because of the love, and kindly consideration of Christ, and because of my understanding of the teachings of Christ. I have overwhelming thanks, gratitude, and appreciation for His teachings and all that He has done and is doing for us. There is a special feeling of love for Christ during this holiday season, and that love is expressed thru the caring, kindly, and warm consideration we give to others.
