Christ showed us how to accept people, which is, it seems, the first step in loving them. Not judging each other, but showing compassion, understanding when we think another has erred. We know everyone pays the price for their errors so there is no need for us to compound their problems. We are to love even the sinner, as Christ did.
Easier said than done! Our habits, like judging others, even condemning those we think are in the wrong, get in our way.
For me, this thought is a great reminder and an inspiring challenge. It sheds light on the shadow cast by my lower mind and lightens the way for me to take a step forward. I pray for the courage to keep opening my sight to the blessings around me and the support always available.
For me the upcoming Easter season is a key time of year to again reflect on what the great being Christ has done for us in showing us how to make real progress while on the physical plane.
I am learning how to love others without compromising my personal standards and personal goals that I have for my well being. I am building the strength of character which would enable me to do so. The use of the virtues are helpful in this endeavor. I find that I must be impersonal in my perception. and not be misled by appearances, thereby I can give the compassion that I would like to receive.
