Taking time to affirm the positive in my life is something I’ve been trying to do more often. When I stop long enough to pay attention to the quality of my thinking, I’m amazed – and often surprised – with the amount of negativity and tension that sneaks into my head. This can adversely affect how I perceive what’s going on around me. Making the effort to still the senses and attune to the inner peace and quiet can encourage a more pleasing outlook. And doing this in the evening does encourage a more restful sleep experience that can help jumpstart the next morning on a more positive note.
I find such “attunements” most helpful both at the start of the day and just before going
to sleep at night; the former to gear up for day’s adventures, and the latter to let them
go as I prepare for rest.
As with the previous blog, CHANGE YOUR MIND/CHANGE YOUR LIFE, this statement on positive thinking and similar approaches of directing our minds and thoughts towards positive instead of negative, constructive instead of destructive, can improve our lives immeasurably. I believe many people, in their own way, do work at this without realizing it. However, progress can be slow until one sets a goal to work at this consciously, deliberately, and with determination to keep at it. Following the Lemurian Philosophy is one way to keep at it.
