The Winter Solstice and Christmas is when the greatest outpouring of love and inspiration from the higher realms of intelligence radiates upon all mankind
I also love the atmosphere of kindliness in the world at this time of year. We had an interesting illustration of the good in everything that happens, and the blessing of great timing: I awoke from my nap yesterday to find most of our electrical power was off, but the kitchen still had some. All our heat and AC, cooking, everything is electric. John checked the circuits and nothing changed, so we called an electrician. He came promptly, and discovered the problem was uneven voltage, but beyond our control, the exterior connection was faulty, and he was not allowed to do anything outside of or beyond our home. As he was explaining this, a truck showed up to our door, from a local utility. Our electrician charged us minimally for the emergency call and left. We found out our system is a “smart” one, and as soon as the problem happened the local utility was advised, remotely, and a repairman dispatched! We had already moved all our perishable foods to a fridge that still had power, so all we had to do was watch the fellow troubleshooting the outside system in the gathering dark. He dug down in our garden for a while, then got some more gear. At first, I was puzzled how to find the good in this situation, then as we sat there together, we began to tally up the positives. The call for help went out without our doing anything, even if we were not at home, it would have been fixed. And it was a clear, sunny day, and the temperature was mild. This was a blessing both for the repairman, as it had stormed and rained a lot lately, and for us, as no heat or AC was needed. The fellow who answered the call was on overtime, and happy to be making a little extra. Two hours later a faulty underground connector was replaced, and we were back in business, no charge to us. Last night the temperature dropped forty degrees! Had the system not showed its problem when it did, we would have had a hard time making it through the night without heat. A lot of good was to be found in that difficulty! Maybe it didn’t happen that way because of Christmas and the outpouring of heavenly love and aid at this time, but I think it did. The electrician and the repairmen got a bit more pay for holiday expenses. We were comfortable throughout! Gratitude abounds!

A most appropriate story for Christmas time, Angela!
And that makes Christmas special, Indeed!
